It was about kids and dinner time and if they are allowed not to finish everything or refuse a food simply because they don't like (once they have tried it a few times to make sure). Both the hubs and I can be really picky (me more so than hubs) and so I expect Benny will be the same. So far in his young life he has had rice cereal, sweet potatoes, green beans, and bananas. Green beans were a no go. I tried them twice and he refused to eat them and got a diaper rash. I think I am going to give him some peas tonight. I hate them, hubs loves them, so we shall see.
But what do you parents do about this mealtime stuff? Do your kids have to eat whatever you put on their plate, even if they aren't hungry or truly hate the food? Do you have an issue with making different things for different members of the family? I do this sometimes because I love certain vegetables or an alfredo sauce and Will hates asparagus or alfredo. So if I get a craving, I make pasta but heat two different sauces and make asparagus and another green vegetable.
